About Us
Full Service Mover
'Legitimate' as you will find
Our customers want their mover to be legal, insured, and capable of doing the job right. That’s not a lot to ask for but it is not a given when hiring a mover. Above are links to the North Carolina Utilities Commission list of mover licensed to operate in North Carolina. There is also a link to the FMCSA website where you can check to see if a mover can legally move your shipment over state lines. Mather Brothers and Wheaton are legal, compliant, insured, and capable. We are the “real deal”, a full service mover who can supply all your moving and storage needs.

remember the past
Since 1975
Naming the company Mather Brothers was the logical choice. The McNally an Mather family began moving people in Upstate New York in 1975. It started with two McNally brothers. While working for the local mover they became drivers. As drivers, they needed helpers. They brought in their nephews who worked as helpers for a while. Soon the nephews also became drivers. The cycle started over. In 1998, two Mather Brothers bought a small moving company in Raleigh, NC. In 2000 they changed the name to Mather Brothers Moving Company.

We, along with 350 other moving companies, are an agent of Wheaton Van Lines. Your interstate move will be under Wheaton’s Interstate operating authority. Wheaton agents pool resources like drivers, and warehouses so that combined, we can supply service an independent mover cannot. Wheaton also monitors quality and keeps it’s agents current with federal compliance.
