Get to know something about your mover.
Full Service Mover
'Legitimate' as you will find
Our customers want their mover to be legal, insured, and capable of doing the job right. That’s not a lot to ask for but it is not a given when hiring a mover. Above are links to the North Carolina Utilities Commission list of mover licensed to operate in North Carolina. There is also a link to the FMCSA website where you can check to see if a mover can legally move your shipment over state lines. Mather Brothers and Wheaton are legal, compliant, insured, and capable. We are the “real deal”, a full service mover who can supply all your moving and storage needs.
Every crew member is trained and qualified to perform the duties required to provide a great move to your family.
Not all movers are licensed, we are. For moves inside North Carolina our NC Utilities Commission number is C-2320. For state to state moves, Wheaton’s authority DOT number is 70719.
We have insurance in place that far exceeds federal and state minimums for a moving company. General liability, auto, workers comp, cargo, warehouse liability, and property.
Our management has been in the moving industry an average of over 30 years. We have seen it all and have the knowledge to handle just about any moving challenge.
“Moving is the only time in your life when you will trust a stranger with everything. You should know who that stranger is.”
remember the past
Naming the company Mather Brothers was the logical choice. The McNally an Mather family began moving people in Upstate New York in 1975. It started with two McNally brothers. While working for the local mover they became drivers. As drivers, they needed helpers. They brought in their nephews who worked as helpers for a while. Soon the nephews also became drivers. The cycle started over. In 1998, two Mather Brothers bought a small moving company in Raleigh, NC. In 2000 they changed the name to Mather Brothers Moving Company.
